Job Description

Description:

Account Manager — Wine & Spirits

Northwest Georgia Independent Retail Territory

Full-Time | Competitive Comp Plan | Car Allowance | Benefits

Join a Growing Distributor!

Eagle Rock is expanding fast, and so is the Northwest Georgia market, stretching from the Tennessee and Alabama borders down through the Rome and Cartersville corridors and everything in between and we need a sharp, self-directed sales professional to own it.

This is a retail-focused territory calling on independent wine and spirits shops, package stores, and specialty bottle shops. It’s relationship-driven, distribution-focused work in a market that rewards consistency, product knowledge, and the willingness to outwork the competition.

Eagle Rock Distributing is one of Georgia’s largest licensed wine and spirits wholesalers. If you’re a retail specialist who knows how to open new accounts, earn shelf space, and build loyalty with independent buyers then this territory was built for you.

Who We’re Looking For

Independent retail is a different animal than chain accounts or on-premise. We want someone who thrives in it:

? A Retail Specialist — You understand how independent buyers think, what drives their purchasing decisions, and how to position a product in a way that moves it off the shelf. Chain retail and on-premise experience are a plus, but indie retail is the core skill here.

? A Hunter for New Distribution — You don’t wait for accounts to come to you. You’re constantly prospecting, identifying gaps in distribution, and finding ways to add new points of sale across a wide geography.

? A Product Believer — Independent wine and spirits retailers are some of the most knowledgeable buyers in the business. You need to show up with credibility in product knowledge, category awareness, and genuine enthusiasm for the product.

? Organized & Self-Managed — This territory spans a significant stretch of Northwest Georgia. You’ll work two days ahead of your ship day and will be prepared two weeks ahead of time.

? A Relationship Builder — Independent accounts are won over time. You show up consistently, follow through on what you say, and earn the kind of trust that keeps competitors from getting a foot in the door.

? Licensed & Road-Ready — A valid Georgia driver’s license and clean driving record are required — you’ll be covering significant ground across this territory every week.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Independent Retail Distribution — Grow your points of distribution across package stores, independent wine shops, and specialty bottle shops throughout Northwest Georgia. Every new placement is yours to own.

• Build Genuine Account Relationships — Be the rep your buyers actually look forward to seeing. Show up prepared, know their business, and bring them something worth their time on every call.

• Execute Merchandising & Shelf Strategy — Manage placements, build displays, and make sure Eagle Rock brands are well-positioned and well-presented across your entire account base.

• Identify & Open New Accounts — Prospect aggressively. This is a growing market and a growing territory. There’s real opportunity to plant flags and build something significant from a solid base of business.

• Stay Current on the Market — Know what’s trending in independent retail, what the competition is doing, and what your buyers need and bring that intelligence to every conversation.

• Represent a Best-in-Class Portfolio — Carry some of the most respected wine and spirits brands in the business and use that portfolio depth to meet buyers wherever their needs are.

• Collaborate with Operations & Marketing — Partner internally to ensure flawless execution from order placement to delivery to in-store activation.

What You Get

• Competitive Base + Commission — A compensation structure that rewards performance. The more you grow your territory, the more you earn.

• Monthly Vehicle Allowance — We cover your wheels so you can focus on the road ahead.

• Full Benefits Package — Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

• Ongoing Training & Development — Product education, sales technique, and category expertise. We invest in making you better at every stage of your career.

• Exclusive Industry Access — Producer visits, trade tastings, portfolio events, and direct access to some of the most respected names in wine and spirits.

• A Culture That Wins — We work hard, move fast, and celebrate the people who make it happen. Effort is recognized here, and ambition has room to grow.
