About LaValley Building Supply

Contractor-retail lumber yards and home centers; truss and wall panel fabrication; a world class paint and decorating center; a custom “off-site construction” modular home division; and one of the largest, most modern Eastern White Pine sawmills in New England, LaValley Building Supply has what our customers need to successfully complete any project. Company founders, Harold and Gerry LaValley remain active in the business, and the LaValley brand today consists of 14 locations that offer our customers a “one stop shop” for all of their building needs.

About the Role:

As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials throughout New England. You will be an essential part of our logistics team, ensuring that our products are delivered safely and on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical in this role. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of your trips and comply with all state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL A license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices
  • Experience with loading and unloading cargo
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods and materials throughout New England
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of products
  • Maintain accurate records of trips
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance

Skills:

In this role, you will use your driving skills to transport goods and materials throughout New England. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues will be critical in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products. Additionally, you will need to be comfortable working independently and as part of a team to meet our logistics goals. Pay range dependent on experience.
