Position Overview
Arthrex Raleigh-Durham is seeking an experienced Knee & Hip Arthroplasty Clinical Specialist to support the implementation of our knee and hip arthroplasty platform throughout Eastern North Carolina.
This position will serve as a key clinical resource for surgeons and operating room staff, providing case coverage, product education, and hands-on clinical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in knee and hip arthroplasty, excellent communication skills, and the ability to establish trusted relationships with surgeons and operating room staff.
This is a unique opportunity to join the organization at the ground level of an exciting new initiative and play an integral role in the Alpha rollout.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and case coverage for total knee and total hip arthroplasty procedures
- Provide comprehensive product and procedural training to surgeons and OR staff
- Ensure OR personnel are confident and comfortable with products, instrumentation, and procedures
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and hospital personnel
- Serve as a knowledgeable clinical resource throughout the surgical process
- Support product adoption and successful implementation within assigned accounts
- Provide ongoing education and clinical support as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the successful launch and growth of the arthroplasty platform
- Travel throughout the assigned territory based on customer and case requirements
Territory & Travel
The position will cover Eastern North Carolina, extending from the Raleigh-Durham area to the coast.
This is a highly field-based position and requires a significant level of travel, including:
- Significant in-state travel is required
- Overnight travel will be frequent
- Extended stays in certain markets may be required, potentially up to six months in one location
- Lodging is provided
- Mileage Reimbursement
Candidates should be comfortable with a highly mobile professional environment and view travel as an integral part of the role.
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of knee and hip arthroplasty experience
- Strong clinical knowledge of total knee and total hip procedures
- Experience providing support in the operating room
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively educate and train OR personnel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Eastern North Carolina
Preferred:
- Experience with robotic-assisted arthroplasty procedures
- Experience supporting the implementation or launch of new products, technology, or surgical systems
