Job Description

Our dental organization is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Practice Manager. The Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall operations, development and success of the dental l practice. In this important role, the successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the general public, doctors and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure office is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules
  • Interview, hire and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines
  • Manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice
  • Regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed
  • Monitor and approve time-cards and track credentials requirements for staff
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and annual performance evaluations for the administrative team
  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Acquire, distribute and store supplies.
  • Review daily schedule and verify insurance.
  • Assist with treatment coordination.
  • Monitor and assist all staff.
  • Assist in all front office duties.
  • Review End-of-Day report and send to accounting.
  • Manage patient treatment follow-up calls.
  • Identify, address and resolve customer concerns.
  • Monitor coverage and staffing.
  • Direct or coordinate the support services department of the office.
  • Lead the Office Morning Huddle.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical system

Skills Needed

  • Working knowledge of dental office terminology
  • Dental office billing a plus
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Dentrix knowledge preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or similar, preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in dental office management
