Housekeeping Supervisor in Mears, Michigan at Grace Adventures

Grace Adventures is a religious organization that makes employment decisions on Bible based beliefs and practices. Because of the nature of our Christian program; Christian belief, character, and practice are essential requirements of employment positions.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Fulfill the ministry of Grace Adventures and demonstrate the foot washing philosophy by serving guests while maintaining a standard of excellence throughout campground facilities. This person must be friendly and engaging towards guests.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the Housekeeping Area by:
• Maintain cleaning standards for all campus facilities and buildings (refer to building checklist for further details)
• Monitor and maintain accommodations supplies - work with management on reorders
• Keep laundry facilities clean and organized
• Keep cleaning closets clean, organized and restocked
• Prompt and thorough reporting of maintenance issues and requests
• Maintain neat and professional appearance in compliance with Dunes Harbor’s dress code
• Obey all policies and rules
• Manager on Duty Responsibilities
• All other duties as assigned

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To serve guests by maintaining a standard of excellence in regard to care and cleanliness of all Dunes Harbor facilities
• Understand Grace Adventure’s ministry and be supportive of its goals
• Serve campground staff as needed

RESPONSIBLE TO: Dunes Harbor Family Camp Director

REPORTS TO: Dunes Harbor Family Camp Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum age: 18
• Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Has a Servants heart
• God Honoring Excellence/Footwashing
• Displays a good work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• A supportive attitude to the needs of staff, guests and goals of the organization
• An ability to direct and supervise the energies of staff and volunteers
• Ability to communicate well
• Good health and stamina is required to implement routine cleaning. This will involve long hours and lifting at times.
