Our innovative software solutions are more than just business tools, they're revolutionizing the way solar energy is sold, bought, and embraced worldwide.

Role

The Account Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by owning customer renewals and identifying expansion opportunities across a strategic portfolio of accounts. The Account Manager builds strong relationships with key customer stakeholders through proactive engagement, frequent strategic business reviews, and a deep understanding of client goals and needs. Account Managers serve as a partner, focusing on account retention and expansion by aligning Solo's platform and services with business objectives. Solo is an AI-forward company: we use AI, including Claude Cowork, every day as an assistant to research accounts, prepare for business reviews, and serve customers more effectively, and we are aggressively expanding how we use it. Account Managers play an active role in finding new ways AI can improve our workflows and the experience we deliver to customers.

Requirements:
  • Own the renewal process and drive timely, successful renewals for assigned accounts
  • Identify, pursue, and close expansion opportunities
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with executive and operational stakeholders
  • Conduct strategic business reviews (SBRs) quarterly to align on performance and uncover upsell opportunities
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies tailored to each customer’s goals and business model
  • Provide input into pricing, packaging, and positioning to support account expansion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Support, and Implementation to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records, account health indicators, and forecast renewal and expansion revenue
  • Escalate customer challenges appropriately and work toward proactive resolutions
  • Represent the customer’s voice to internal teams and influence roadmap development
  • Drive product adoption by partnering with customers on onboarding, training, and ongoing enablement to shorten time to value and ensure they realize measurable results from Solo’s platform
  • Use AI tools, including Claude Cowork, in daily workflows for account research, SBR preparation, renewal forecasting, and customer communications, and share what works with the broader team

Skills/Qualifications

  • 4+ years of enterprise account management, customer success, or consultative sales experience
  • Experience in home services or home improvement; background working with solar, roofing, and/or HVAC contractors strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing complex renewals and growing large customer accounts
  • Strong executive communication and strategic influence skills
  • Ability to identify and close commercial opportunities (upsell, cross-sell)
  • Experience with SaaS or subscription software solutions where customer success depends on adoption, training, and enablement, with a track record of shortening time to value and helping customers get lasting value from the product
  • Skilled in forecasting, negotiation, and account planning
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve productivity and customer outcomes; experience with Claude Cowork is a plus
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and a drive to experiment, learn, and identify new ways AI can streamline workflows and improve how we serve customers
  • Comfortable traveling to client sites as needed

Benefits

  • Full, comprehensive insurance package.
  • 401K with a 4% company match.
  • Available Time Off (ATO), with manager approval.
