- Lead end-to-end ownership of billing and payment platform stability across residential, SMB, enterprise, and wholesale services, ensuring high availability and operational reliability.
- Oversee billing accuracy including rating, invoicing, bill generation, payment posting, and delivery processes across multiple systems and legacy environments.
- Ensure order-to-bill integrity by collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to maintain accurate service activation, billing triggers, account mapping, and data consistency.
- Manage payment processing operations including credit card, ACH, and autopay integrations while maintaining strong vendor relationships and service-level performance.
- Monitor payment exceptions, reconciliation processes, refunds, chargebacks, and financial accuracy while reducing failures through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with Finance, Security, and Audit teams to maintain compliance, support audits, and ensure adherence to payment security and regulatory standards.
- Lead incident management and resolution for billing and payment-related issues, including RCA development and preventive improvement initiatives.
- Define and execute modernization strategies focused on automation, AI-driven operations, scalable architectures, and improved revenue system observability.
- Serve as a cross-functional leader aligning priorities across Operations, Engineering, Customer Experience, ERP, Product, and Finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience managing billing, payment systems, revenue operations, or fintech/telecom monetization platforms.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience with responsibility for operational performance, platform reliability, financial controls, and customer impact.
- Strong expertise in payment processing concepts including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, ACH processing, disputes, and chargebacks.
- Proven experience working within multi-platform ecosystems involving billing engines, payment gateways, and ERP or finance system integrations.
- Demonstrated success leading production incident response, problem management, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Ability to reduce manual intervention through automation, process redesign, and scalable technology solutions.
- Experience collaborating with finance and audit teams on compliance, controls, and data integrity initiatives.
- Strong vendor management skills with experience handling SLAs, escalations, contracts, and delivery oversight.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with experience aligning technical and business teams around priorities and execution.
- Preferred experience within telecom, subscription-based, or usage-based billing environments, along with familiarity with AI/ML-driven operational automation and payment security programs.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $183,000 annually depending on experience.
