Technical Director

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Director in the United States.

This is a senior technical leadership role at the intersection of enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and platform engineering across large-scale Adobe ecosystems. The position is designed for a highly experienced architect who can bridge strategy and execution, ensuring that complex enterprise solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with business outcomes. In this role, you will serve as a key technical authority across sales, delivery, and solution teams, guiding architectural decisions and validating solution integrity across multiple concurrent enterprise engagements. You will also act as a mentor and enablement leader, helping elevate engineering practices and technical standards across the organization. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and deeply focused on innovation, particularly around AI-driven digital experiences and modern cloud architectures. This role combines client-facing advisory work, internal technical leadership, and hands-on architectural oversight in a highly impactful and globally distributed delivery model.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide technical validation and architectural oversight across enterprise solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and alignment with client and business requirements.
  • Serve as a cross-solution subject matter expert across Adobe enterprise platforms, guiding teams on architecture, design, and implementation best practices.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, risk mitigation, and delivery excellence.
  • Partner with delivery and program leadership to support end-to-end execution of large-scale enterprise engagements.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex implementation challenges and ensure resolution of critical issues.
  • Lead architecture review processes and contribute to defining and maintaining enterprise-wide technical standards.
  • Support client-facing engagements by validating solution design and providing strategic technical guidance.
  • Drive innovation initiatives, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance delivery capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Lead enablement, training, and mentorship programs to elevate technical expertise across engineering, sales, and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with global partners in co-delivery models to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent technical execution.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution shaping, estimation support, and technical advisory for client proposals.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, with at least 8+ years in technical leadership or architecture roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise across modern enterprise technologies including cloud platforms, APIs (REST/GraphQL), CI/CD pipelines, containerized systems, and software engineering best practices.
  • Strong architectural experience with Adobe enterprise platforms such as Adobe Commerce, AEM, AEP, RT-CDP, CJA, AJO, Adobe App Builder, Workfront, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to design, validate, and guide complex enterprise-grade architectures in large-scale digital transformation environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership experience in mentoring engineers and architects while building high-performing technical teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving, and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery models and across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decision-making at senior organizational levels.
  • Experience in consulting, digital services, or enterprise solution delivery environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and experience applying AI concepts to enterprise architecture and delivery is highly desirable.
  • Adobe certification at Expert or Master level is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $140,000 to $210,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and additional protection programs.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Paid time off and flexible remote work arrangements.
  • Access to professional development opportunities and career growth pathways.
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven work environment focused on enterprise-scale digital transformation.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge Adobe Experience Cloud technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Opportunity to work in globally distributed teams with leading enterprise clients.
