This role plays a key part in the execution of complex, mission-critical installation projects supporting national air traffic control and aviation infrastructure systems. You will lead field teams responsible for hands-on installation and site preparation activities in active operational environments. The position requires strong coordination across engineering, construction, and client stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery of technical deployments. You will oversee planning, staffing, risk management, and on-site execution across geographically distributed project sites. This is a high-responsibility leadership role within regulated federal programs where precision, safety, and reliability are essential. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and focused on delivering infrastructure that supports national aviation safety and modernization.
- Lead and manage field installation teams responsible for deploying air traffic control and aviation systems across multiple project sites.
- Plan and coordinate staffing assignments, ensuring field personnel are properly trained, prepared, and deployed effectively.
- Review technical drawings and installation packages to develop execution plans aligned with project requirements.
- Monitor installation progress, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and compliant project completion.
- Develop and implement risk management and safety plans to mitigate operational, schedule, and quality risks.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, and FAA stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
- Conduct site visits, lead field meetings, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Support contract administration activities, including change orders, reporting, and documentation control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on construction experience.
- 15+ years of experience in field construction, installation, or infrastructure project management.
- Strong experience leading teams in large-scale civil, structural, or industrial construction environments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, scopes of work, and engineering installation documentation.
- Proven leadership experience managing geographically dispersed field teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing formal project reports.
- Proficiency with standard business tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with regulated environments such as FAA, DOT, DoD, telecom, utilities, or airport infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
- Ability to meet federal background and security requirements.
