This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who wants to build their skills and work toward becoming a full-line automotive technician.

Position Summary

Position: Technician Helper

Classification : Full Time

Reports To: Service Manager

Work Location: In person; Winnie area

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

• Has prior hands-on mechanical experience — REQUIRED
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Can follow directions and work alongside experienced technicians
• Is willing to learn and continue developing their automotive skills
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience as auto mechanic

Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles

• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Excellent physical condition
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred

Relevant Work Experience & Other Requirements:

• Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable based on driving record.
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Has their own basic tools

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/ or walk for extended periods of time
