Job Description

Ethium is an innovative division of EControls focused on delivering industry-leading lithium-ion technology for demanding material-handling applications. The Assembler IV role supports high-precision electro-mechanical assembly operations that require strong attention to detail, safety, and production discipline. This position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Job Elements

· Set an example for being on time, at the workstation, ready to work at the beginning of the shift, after lunch, and after break times.

· Maintain knowledge of the hazard communication system and safety data sheets (SDS).

· Adhere to the 6S program by keeping the work area clean and organized and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

· Set up equipment, including programming, calibration, and tooling adjustments.

· Operate and monitor equipment, including but not limited to electric hand tools, manual hand tools, torque wrenches, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, electric hand jacks, forklifts, and testing equipment.

· Follow strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.

· Maintain physical ability to lift materials, stand for long periods, and operate equipment safely.

· Perform manual lifting of materials and fixtures as required, following safety requirements for lifting items above 45 lbs.

· Assemble large electro-mechanical assemblies per print or work instruction requirements, including electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, inspection, and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies.

· Stand at the same workstation or walk to various workstations or move materials throughout the shift.

· Utilize the Non-Conforming Product (NCP) process and ensure non-conforming product is properly red-tagged and placed in the appropriate location.

· Follow all required safety requirements and report issues that may jeopardize employee safety, product quality, and/or on-time delivery.

· Meet daily production goals while following the manufacturing schedule.

· Read and understand all policies, procedures, work instructions, and test instructions associated with the workstation and product before performing any work.

· Perform other duties or special projects, as required.

Requirements

· Preferred: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

· Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

· Ability to perform basic math.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing work instructions with minimal assistance.

· Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and lifting equipment safely.

· Ability to make proper electrical connections

· Proven experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.

· Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Position Type, Schedule and Travel

· This is a full-time position

· 1st shift Tuesday – Friday 6:30 am – 5:00 pm

· 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6:30 am – 5:00 pm

· Off schedule, evening, and/or weekend work may be required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position requires standing for ten hours per day. This position requires bending, pushing and pulling of product or materials. This position requires the use hand tools. This position requires the use of solvents, adhesives, and/or lubricants. This position requires lifting boxes and parts up to 45lbs frequently throughout the shift. Required PPE includes safety glasses, Gloves, Dust Masks and Ear Protection, as required. Respirator may be required. Steel/Composite toe protected shoes.
