Checker/Shipper in Sidney, Ohio at Pete DeLuke & Associates Inc

We need all associates to be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods, work at a fast pace and able to bend and kneel at the waist.

The checker/shipper will be moving baskets on dolly’s, pickup baskets by hand. Each baskets weighs 30-40lbs.

Meijer Shipping:

8am-8pm

12 Hr. Days Sun, Wed, Fri (Thursday would be OT day)

This person needs to be quality, great at communication and able to fill orders and fill out paperwork properly.

Checker/Shipper:

D Shift 6pm-6am

12 hr shifts

Mon, Wed, Fri (Sat-Sun) every other weekend

This person great with numbers and dependable.

These positions start out at $18 an hour for 480 hours and when hired in each positions will go up to $21-$22 an hour.

· Checker/Shipper to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

· Analyze shipping processes to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions

· Coordinate with carriers and vendors to negotiate rates and establish service-level agreements

· Monitor and report on freight performance metrics, adjusting strategies to meet organizational goals

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless integration of freight operations with overall supply chain activities

· Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
