Cook in Anacortes, Washington at Rosario Olympus

We are seeking a Cook to join our culinary team at Rosario Assisted Living and Anacortes Health and Rehab. This role is essential in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health, well-being, and daily enjoyment of our residents.

The Cook works closely with dietary leadership to prepare meals that meet regulatory, dietary, and food-safety standards while providing excellent service in a senior living and skilled nursing environment.

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines
• Follow therapeutic and special diets as directed (e.g., texture modifications, restricted diets)
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, storage, and food prep areas
• Assist with meal service as needed, including set-up and clean-up
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage
• Collaborate with dietary and care teams to support resident needs
• Follow state, federal, and facility-specific regulations at all times

• Previous cooking experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service
• Knowledge of basic nutrition, food preparation techniques, and kitchen safety practices
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and dietary requirements
• Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and compliance
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet state employment requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move kitchen supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
