Senior Full Stack Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale mission-critical web applications that directly support healthcare transportation services across the country. You will work across the full stack to design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance systems that power both operational workflows and user-facing experiences. Partnering closely with product, engineering, and QA teams, you will contribute to shaping scalable architecture and delivering new features in a fast-paced agile environment. The work is highly impactful, as your solutions will support real-world healthcare access for underserved populations. You will also contribute to improving system reliability, performance, and security in a regulated environment. This is a hands-on engineering role where technical depth, collaboration, and product thinking are essential.

Accountabilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and APIs that support core platform functionality, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across production systems.

  • Deliver new features and develop new applications across frontend and backend systems using modern engineering practices.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven services using scalable architectural patterns.
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services in AWS environments, supporting deployment, scalability, and monitoring.
  • Improve system performance, reliability, and security through continuous optimization and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams in an agile development environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and support evolution toward microservices and distributed systems.
Requirements

This role requires a seasoned full stack engineer with strong experience building scalable web applications, APIs, and cloud-native systems in production environments.

  • 5+ years of experience building secure, scalable web applications using technologies such as Node.js, React, or PHP.
  • 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining production-grade APIs and web services.
  • Strong experience with RESTful API design and integration.
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS/Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront, Redshift, and messaging/queueing systems).
  • Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
  • Familiarity with modern development workflows including GitHub, Jira, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience working in regulated or high-security environments such as healthcare is highly valued.
  • Exposure to microservices, event-driven systems, or real-time communication technologies is a plus.
