Senior CRM Strategist

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly strategic and hands-on CRM expert to shape lifecycle marketing and retention strategies within a fast-growing global technology environment. In this role, you will work directly with mobile app businesses to improve user engagement, retention, and subscription performance through advanced CRM and lifecycle marketing initiatives. You will combine strategic consulting, data-driven experimentation, and operational execution to help customers build impactful engagement journeys across the subscriber lifecycle. Working cross-functionally with product, marketing, customer success, and advocacy teams, you will influence both customer outcomes and future platform capabilities. The position is ideal for someone passionate about mobile growth, retention optimization, and customer engagement systems at scale. Accountabilities:
  • Lead customer-facing CRM and lifecycle marketing engagements, including audits, strategy workshops, campaign planning, and retention optimization initiatives.
  • Design and implement engagement frameworks focused on onboarding, trial conversion, churn prevention, win-back campaigns, and long-term subscriber retention.
  • Advise customers on integrating subscription and behavioral data into CRM platforms to enable advanced segmentation, personalization, and automation strategies.
  • Analyze customer lifecycle performance metrics, user cohorts, and engagement data to identify opportunities for growth and revenue optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to provide strategic feedback on CRM integrations, event triggers, data structures, and platform capabilities.
  • Develop scalable playbooks, templates, and lifecycle marketing frameworks that can be reused across customer accounts and internal teams.
  • Partner with advocacy, content, and marketing teams to create webinars, guides, thought leadership content, and educational resources for the mobile app community.
  • Support internal enablement by helping sales, customer success, and support teams deepen their understanding of lifecycle marketing and retention strategies.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and visible expert on mobile engagement, subscription retention, and CRM best practices within the broader industry ecosystem.
Requirements:
  • 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or mobile engagement strategy, particularly within subscription-based mobile applications.
  • Proven expertise with leading CRM and customer engagement platforms such as Braze, Iterable, OneSignal, CleverTap, Customer.io, or Airship.
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and measuring multi-step lifecycle campaigns, segmentation strategies, and retention-focused experiments.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with experience using data and product analytics tools to evaluate customer behavior, retention, and lifetime value performance.
  • Deep understanding of mobile engagement best practices, including push notifications, in-app messaging, email campaigns, onboarding flows, and churn recovery strategies.
  • Ability to confidently lead workshops, present strategic recommendations, and communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working in remote-first and asynchronous international environments with strong self-management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving business environments.
  • Experience with subscription app ecosystems, CRM infrastructure, or customer retention consulting is highly valued.
  • Additional experience in thought leadership, public speaking, webinar hosting, or content creation related to lifecycle marketing is considered a strong advantage.
