The YWCA White Plains and Central Westchester are bringing new energy to our Activity Center—and we’re looking for a dynamic, people-focused professional to help lead our next phase of growth.
The Membership Sales & Experience Associate is the heartbeat of the Activity Center, driving membership growth, strengthening community connections, and delivering a warm, inclusive experience for every member and guest.
This role blends sales, outreach, and member engagement in a fast-paced, community-driven setting. You’ll shepherd prospective members through the full membership journey—from inquiry to tour to enrollment—and serve as the liaison to program teams, so families receive seamless support with registrations and next steps.

Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Sales & Growth
- Promote and sell YWCA memberships through tours, outreach, follow-up calls, and relationship-building
- Meet and exceed quarterly membership sales and conversion goals
- Build and manage a pipeline of inquiries, warm leads, and referral prospects
- Track leads, conversions, renewals, and cancellations in Daxko, the YWCA White Plains’ CRM
- Cross-sell Activity Center programs (Gymnastics, Aquatics, YW Access, etc.)
- Support new-member onboarding and retention strategies
Community Outreach & Lead Generation:
- Identify potential community partners (schools, businesses, health providers, civic groups) to expand awareness and generate leads
- Attend community events, fairs, expos, and tabling opportunities to promote the Activity Center
- Represent the YWCA at outreach events with professionalism and confidence
- Coordinate with partners to host information sessions, presentations, or membership drives
- Support open houses, special events, and seasonal membership promotions
Member Experience & Customer Service:
- Deliver a warm, inclusive, professional member experience at every interaction
- Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and account needs
- Provide clear, accurate information about schedules, memberships, pricing, and programs
- Assist with retention strategies, including new-member check-ins and follow-ups
Front Desk & Daily Operations:
- Greet and check in members, guests, and program participants
- Answer phones, manage general inquiries, and support daily facility flow
- Process payments, update accounts, and maintain accurate records in Daxko
- Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming front desk environment
Essential Experience:
- 1+ years of customer service, sales, or membership-based experience preferred
- Strong communication skills: phone, in-person, tours, and presentations
- Comfort engaging with diverse populations
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- CRM experience preferred; experience with Daxko Operations is a strong plus (training provided)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus
- Interest in youth programs, fitness, wellness, recreation, or community services

- Sales & Outreach: Confident engaging prospects, conducting tours, and guiding conversations that lead to membership growth.
- Customer Service: Provides warm, responsive, solutions-oriented support to members and families.
- Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Organization & Follow-Through: Manages leads, tasks, and details accurately while keeping Daxko records up to date.
- Team Collaboration: Works well with program, membership, and operations teams to ensure seamless member experiences.
- Adaptability: Handles a fast-paced environment with flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.
Education & Credentials:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant certifications preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and significant leadership experience in membership-driven health and wellness programs will be considered.
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children and families
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments
- Advanced familiarity with technology tools such as email, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding the YWCA’s mission of equity, empowerment, and inclusive programming.
Compensation: $18.00-$21.00 per hour, plus quarterly sales commission opportunities
