Description:

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional work environment across all company facilities.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning, restocking, organization, and general upkeep of the building, including shop floors, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas
  • Maintain lighting throughout the facility, including replacing bulbs and reporting electrical issues
  • Conduct minor facility repairs, including basic carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
  • Monitor building condition and promptly report maintenance issues requiring outside service
  • Order, track, and maintain adequate inventory levels of facility and janitorial supplies to support daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and workplace standards in all areas
  • Maintain shop infrastructure, including workstations, storage areas, and material handling systems
  • Assist with shop layout changes, equipment relocation, and space optimization as requested
  • Support equipment moves by preparing areas, coordinating access, and assisting with setup
  • Help keep shop areas organized, safe, and free of unnecessary obstructions
  • Maintain parking areas, sidewalks, entrances, and exterior lighting to ensure safety and accessibility
  • Perform basic landscaping tasks, including debris removal and general grounds upkeep
  • Support seasonal requirements such as snow and ice removal, storm cleanup, and weather-related maintenance
  • Identify and report exterior maintenance or safety concerns
  • Provide cross-departmental support as needed to prevent bottlenecks and maintain efficient workflow
  • Assist with priority or rush jobs to support production and operational deadlines
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks outside of primary responsibilities as required to meet business needs
  • Support company initiatives focused on safety, organization, and continuous improvement
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly and assist with corrective actions

Education & Experience

· High school diploma or GED required

· Vocational or technical training in building maintenance, facilities management, carpentry, electrical, or mechanical trades preferred

· Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, janitorial services, or industrial/warehouse environments preferred

· Experience of performing routine cleaning, minor repairs, and general building upkeep

· Familiarity with basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and light maintenance tasks

· Experience supporting shop or manufacturing environments preferred

· Experience with grounds maintenance, snow removal, or exterior upkeep is a plus

· Ability to follow work orders, maintenance schedules, and verbal or written instructions

Additional Requirements

· Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and working on feet for extended periods

· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines

· Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

· Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks as well as varied maintenance duties as needed

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete work independently with minimal supervision

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and organization

· Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, or overtime as required

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support facility and production needs

· Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic

· Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all company safety policies
