Join a mission-driven fintech environment focused on building accessible financial products that improve everyday financial lives. This role offers the opportunity to lead the design evolution of a next-generation Buy Now Pay Later product, shaping experiences that balance usability, trust, and innovation for millions of users. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Growth teams, you will influence both strategic product direction and hands-on execution across the full product lifecycle. The position combines deep UX thinking, strong visual design, and systems-level product strategy within a fast-moving, collaborative culture. As a senior individual contributor, you will have meaningful ownership, autonomy, and visibility while helping define how modern credit products evolve for underserved consumers. This is an ideal opportunity for a product designer who thrives in ambiguity, values measurable impact, and enjoys building scalable consumer experiences in high-growth environments.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end product design initiatives for a Buy Now Pay Later platform, guiding the product from early-stage MVP through large-scale adoption and maturity.
  • Design intuitive, mobile-first user experiences that balance member trust, accessibility, speed, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Growth teams to shape product vision, roadmap priorities, success metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Create thoughtful solutions that address customer needs, operational constraints, and regulatory considerations within financial services environments.
  • Develop clear design narratives, workflows, prototypes, and systems that help teams align on product decisions and trade-offs.
  • Drive the launch of new features, product improvements, and iterative enhancements based on user insights and data-driven decision-making.
  • Mentor and support other designers by elevating design quality, collaboration practices, and overall product thinking across the organization.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles while balancing execution speed with long-term product scalability and consistency.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives, including the exploration of AI-enhanced design workflows and emerging product experiences.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of product design experience within fintech, consumer technology, or other large-scale digital product environments.
  • Proven track record of designing and launching impactful products or features used by broad consumer audiences.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX problem-solving, visual design, systems thinking, and end-to-end product ownership.
  • Experience taking products from concept and early-stage development through launch, iteration, and optimization.
  • Deep expertise in mobile-first product design and user experience best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma and modern design workflows, including interest in AI-powered design tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience designing credit, lending, BNPL, or financial wellness products is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with products serving gig workers, non-traditional income earners, or financially underserved consumers is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership of outcomes, and influence teams without direct management authority.
  • Portfolio submission is required as part of the application process.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package with a salary range of approximately $174K–$224K plus meaningful equity opportunities.
  • Fully remote, virtual-first work environment across the United States.
  • Flexible work hours and home office stipend support.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • 401(k) savings plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous paid parental and caregiver leave programs.
  • Flexible paid time off and company holidays, including extended seasonal breaks.
  • Financial wellness resources and access to advisory support.
  • Opportunities to work on impactful fintech products serving millions of users.
  • Collaborative culture focused on growth, inclusion, transparency, and innovation.
  • Company-sponsored virtual events and periodic in-person team gatherings.
  • Career development opportunities alongside experienced product, engineering, and research leaders.
