What You’ll Do
As our Sous Chef, you’ll partner with the Chef to help lead day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining the quality standards our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations and service execution in a high-volume environment
- Supervise, coach, and develop line cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen team members
- Ensure recipe consistency, proper portioning, presentation standards, and ticket accuracy
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and food cost control
- Maintain prep production levels and kitchen organization for efficient service
- Enforce sanitation, food safety, and health department compliance standards
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and productivity oversight
- Support menu development, feature items, and recipe execution
- Step into the kitchen leadership responsibilities in the Chef’s absence
- Foster a positive, accountable, team-focused kitchen culture
- 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook, or similar)
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable
- Experience in high-volume, scratch kitchen environments preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen systems
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and solutions-oriented under pressure
- Weekend availability is required
- Nights and holiday availability expected
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs
