Senior Systems Engineer

This role sits at the intersection of technical sales engineering and advanced satellite networking, supporting cutting-edge connectivity solutions used by global operators and enterprises. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping translate complex requirements into scalable satellite network designs. Working closely with sales, product, and engineering teams, you will influence solution architecture and ensure technical accuracy across proposals and deployments. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply innovation-driven, requiring both strong hands-on technical expertise and customer-facing confidence. You will also contribute to demonstrations, technical presentations, and lab validations that showcase next-generation satellite communications capabilities. Accountabilities

In this role, you will act as the primary technical lead supporting sales initiatives, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into effective satellite network solutions. You will collaborate closely with sales teams, engineering, and product stakeholders to design, validate, and present scalable architectures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with sales teams to identify opportunities and define technical solutions aligned with customer needs
  • Designing and validating satellite network architectures, ensuring feasibility, performance, and scalability
  • Acting as the go-to technical advisor for assigned accounts, supporting design decisions and expansion strategies
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations, proposals, white papers, and solution demonstrations
  • Conducting system configuration reviews, lab testing, and solution validation for customer scenarios
  • Supporting technical troubleshooting and escalation management in coordination with support teams
  • Providing feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer insights and market trends
  • Staying updated on satellite communications technologies, networking trends, and competitive developments
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in satellite communications, IP networking, and customer-facing technical consulting. You are comfortable working in complex environments and translating technical depth into business value. Your profile includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in satellite network design and implementation (GEO, LEO, or MEO environments)
  • Proven experience in Sales Engineering or pre-sales technical consulting within the satellite industry
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, including L2/L3 LAN/WAN architectures and protocols
  • Experience with link budget analysis and satellite transmission systems (strong advantage)
  • Familiarity with verticals such as cellular backhaul, enterprise networks, defense, and IoT
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure including routers, switches, and related systems
  • Exposure to Linux/Windows systems and cloud or virtualization environments (plus)
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN or 5G technologies is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel internationally and regionally as required
