Job Description
The Program Coordinator will assist patients and their families through the cancer care continuum at Mount Sinai Hospital. The purpose of the Patient Navigator is to intervene with appropriate services and assistance to reduce the amount of time spent on delivering services in relation to diagnosis and treatment. The Patient Navigator will identify barriers to quality care and plan path for patients to access assistance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• College degree in related field preferred; three (3) of related healthcare experience may substitute.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Three to four years of progressively responsible office experience is necessary.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft software application programs.
• Knowledge of Meditech & Scheduling Modules.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must be able to types minimum 42 words per minute.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
