Essential Job Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently processes and records routine transactions for members including cashing checks, accepting deposits, disbursing withdrawals, processing loan payments, and money transfers. Advises members of the credit union’s products and services that will meet their financial needs.

• Delivers exceptional service by processing basic to moderate branch operations tasks.
• Processes all monetary transactions for members and guests (i.e., deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, miscellaneous receipts) in compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
• Verifies transactions for thoroughness and checks for counterfeit currency.
• Completes Levies as needed.
• Promotes credit union products and services to meet members’ financial needs.
• Complies with all regulatory requirements including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Assists the Member Services Department, front desk, and other branches for backup support as needed.
• Assists in scanning all member-related documents into the imaging system.
• Delivers exceptional service in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
• May require occasional travel between branches.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to be bonded and to retain bondability
• Valid CA driver’s license
• A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience
• Cash handling and customer service experience
• Accurate typing/data entry and processing data
• Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to prioritize work effectively
• Must be adaptable to different and changing situations and solve problems
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through courteous, friendly, and professional behavior
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor.
