Non-CDL Residential Route Driver in Hughesville, Maryland at U S Refuse Removal Inc

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Non-CDL Residential Route Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing residential customers along an assigned route, operating company vehicles safely, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Operate a non-CDL collection vehicle on assigned residential routes.
Safely collect and transport residential waste and recycling materials.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain route efficiency while ensuring quality service.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, and service exceptions promptly.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) or ability to obtain one before employment.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to pass a DOT drug screening, background check, and MVR review.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver containers throughout the workday.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Strong attendance record and work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous waste industry, route driving, delivery, or transportation experience.
Knowledge of Southern Maryland roadways and service areas.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to enter and exit the vehicle frequently throughout the shift.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
