This role sits at the intersection of engineering, energy efficiency, and smart-building innovation, focusing on transforming legacy HVAC control systems into modern, connected, and high-performance infrastructures. You will play a key part in delivering energy optimization and digital modernization projects across a diverse portfolio of buildings throughout Europe. The position combines technical expertise in building automation with customer-facing responsibilities, supporting both pre-sales and execution phases. You will contribute directly to reducing energy consumption, improving sustainability outcomes, and enabling smarter building operations. Working in a highly international environment, you will collaborate with sales teams, engineers, and customers to design and implement impactful modernization solutions. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical depth and commercial engagement in a fast-evolving energy and building technologies landscape.
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy HVAC control systems and lead their transformation into smart, energy-efficient, and networked building solutions.
- Develop and optimize control strategies, including sequences, schedules, and setpoints, to enhance building performance and reduce energy consumption.
- Analyze operational and energy data to identify performance trends, quantify savings, and support cost reduction initiatives for clients.
- Provide technical and commercial support across the full project lifecycle, including solution design, quotations, pricing, commissioning, and customer presentations.
- Support the deployment of smart-building technologies such as advanced sensors, automation logic, and remote monitoring systems.
- Contribute to Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities and support energy service and performance-based business models.
- Assist clients in achieving sustainability targets, carbon reduction goals, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Deliver training and support to sales and technical teams to strengthen modernization capabilities and commercial effectiveness.
- Proven experience in HVAC controls, building automation, energy management, or smart-building engineering roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC automation, energy optimization, and connected building technologies.
- Solid understanding of energy efficiency strategies, carbon reduction approaches, and sustainability frameworks in the built environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in connected building systems is an advantage.
- Ability to combine deep technical expertise with commercial awareness and customer-facing communication.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret energy and operational data effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international, cross-functional environment.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are considered a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
- Competitive annual salary package ranging approximately from €51,500 to €103,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
