Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible to ensure that raw material is safely received, distributed, properly, accounted for, and valued in the Company’s factory planning system. This role will need to work the assigned shift, including mandatory overtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loads, unloads, and transfers materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads work order or follows written instructions to ascertain core materials to warehouse sub-locations (Press, Saw, Countertops, Detail & Shipping).
- Ensure all core material is stored safely and in an orderly manner in all warehouses sub-locations.
- On a regular basis, conduct physical inventory counts for each warehouse sub-location.
- Down stacking of material from pallets into bundles for loading of equipment per production schedule.
- Communicate effectively with cross functional departments.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and adhere to the company’s attendance policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous sit-down forklift experience (2+ years).
- Previous stand-up forklift experience (2+ years).
- Ability to pass onsite Forklift Qualification Course.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- The ability to safely use a forklift to receive and distribute raw material.
- The ability to count physical raw material inventory accurately and completely on all warehouse sub-locations.
- Utilize situational awareness in detecting any deviation in the functioning of the machine.
- Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ensuring that safety is always top priority while working.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned.

- Standing, walking, and/or sitting approximately 8-10 hours, 5 days a week, depending on business need, may be required to work 6 days a week depending on business need.
- Fine motor abilities are needed to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Specific vision abilities might be required by this job that include close vision, particularly reading that may be very fine print.
- Regular twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, pivoting, and moving or lifting 10-100 pounds.
- Employees will frequently lift and/or move 10-25 pounds while occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This will include safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection (when needed) while on the production floor.
