This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Quality Engineering & AI Testing in India.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and scaling world-class quality engineering practices across enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products. You will shape the global quality strategy, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across complex platforms that power customer-facing AI experiences. The role spans traditional software quality engineering as well as modern AI and LLM testing, requiring deep expertise in automation, CI/CD, and distributed systems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and applied AI teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle and strengthen release confidence at scale. A key focus will be building robust frameworks for testing agentic AI systems, including evaluation of accuracy, safety, and reliability. This is a high-impact leadership position in a fast-paced environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and enterprise-grade delivery.
- Define and lead the global quality engineering strategy, establishing standards, governance models, and release readiness frameworks across the organization.
- Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing global Quality Engineering organization, fostering a strong culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks across UI, API, integration, regression, and performance testing domains.
- Embed quality practices into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated quality gates and robust release validation processes.
- Develop and operationalize AI and agentic testing frameworks, including evaluation of LLM-based systems for accuracy, safety, hallucination control, and reliability.
- Drive enterprise-grade quality across APIs, cloud-native applications, integrations, and distributed systems, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Establish production monitoring, defect prevention strategies, and root-cause analysis processes to improve long-term platform stability.
- Define KPIs and analytics frameworks to measure quality, automation coverage, release performance, and customer-impacting incidents.
- 12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing roles.
- 5+ years of experience leading global QA or Quality Engineering organizations in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Strong expertise in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and large-scale enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to scale quality functions in high-growth, fast-paced technology environments.
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, security, and reliability testing practices.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML systems, including Generative AI, LLM-based applications, or Agentic AI platforms.
- Familiarity with AI testing concepts such as prompt evaluation, model validation, and AI quality metrics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and AI teams.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and large-scale production deployments is a strong plus.
