Responsibilities

The Sr. Director of Marketing Growth, is responsible for developing and leading the overall marketing strategy and achieving organizational marketing objectives. This role partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness, generate demand, support sales growth, and drive engagement across target markets. The Sr. Director leads Product Marketing, Marketing Operations and Intelligence, and Performance Marketing as one integrated growth engine focused on three priorities: growing relationships with existing customers, creating new-logo opportunities, and taking differentiated offerings to market with strategic partners.

  • Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer and executive team to develop, implement, and drive strategic marketing initiatives, connecting strategy to execution through a growth-marketing operating model with clear priorities, ownership, and measures.

  • Lead Product Marketing, Marketing Operations and Intelligence, and Performance Marketing as coordinated and mutually supportive functions, aligning them around shared programs rather than separate activity plans, and direct, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of integrated campaigns, projects, and day-to-day team activities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development for marketing leaders and team members; as the organization grows, add depth where it will have the greatest impact while preserving a connected approach to planning and execution.
  • Build and strengthen awareness and recognition of the NWN brand, solutions, and services, and partner with the Offerings organization on positioning, customer-focused messaging, proof points, launch plans, website content, and sales and partner enablement that translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
  • Develop and lead customer-centric marketing programs that support organizational goals and demand generation objectives, including distinct programs for customer expansion and new-logo acquisition and partner-led programs that take differentiated offerings to market with strategic partners.

  • Drive website traffic and digital engagement by overseeing integrated programs across paid advertising, display, LinkedIn, email, search, website conversion, and emerging AI-assisted discovery channels, and create and manage lead generation programs that use account and buying-group insights to move leads through the sales funnel and support sales conversations.

  • Develop marketing goals, deliverables, metrics, and content strategies while partnering with Sales and Sales Enablement, Customer Success, Offerings, and Partners and Alliances to align on target accounts, offering priorities, partner programs, follow-up, and shared outcomes.

  • Guide marketing operations and technology, including the website, Marketo, intent-data platforms such as Demandbase and 6sense, and AI-enabled marketing and outreach tools, and strengthen the data, workflows, integrations, and reporting that make programs more relevant and results more visible.

  • Stay close to execution by working with the team on launch briefs, campaign performance reviews, and data and automation challenges while setting overall direction.

  • Apply practical judgment about AI and automation: where they improve marketing, where human expertise matters, and how to measure the difference, and adopt emerging AI tools to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and drive operational effectiveness.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Demonstrated comfort with adopting emerging AI tools and technologies to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and drive operational effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Eight or more years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in growth marketing, demand generation, product marketing, performance marketing, marketing operations, or related disciplines.
  • Five or more years of experience leading marketing professionals, managers, or multidisciplinary marketing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, campaign management, and demand generation principles, with senior B2B marketing leadership experience in enterprise technology, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or another complex solutions environment.
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop marketing professionals and leaders across product marketing, marketing operations, and performance marketing.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and measure integrated marketing programs, with a record of building or improving growth programs that contribute to qualified pipeline and revenue opportunities.
  • Experience supporting and partnering with enterprise sales organizations, and a strong understanding of account-based marketing, customer expansion, new-logo acquisition, partner-led programs, and complex buying groups.
  • Working fluency with marketing automation, GEO platforms, CRM-connected processes, intent data, digital media, website performance, and marketing analytics; experience with Marketo, Demandbase, or 6sense is especially relevant, though experience with every platform is not required.
  • Ability to turn technical offerings into compelling customer stories and programs that sales teams can put to work.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
  • Creative, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset, with a leadership style that combines strategic clarity, analytical rigor, collaboration, and a willingness to get close to execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate marketing performance, ROI, budgets, and team effectiveness.
  • Practical judgment about AI and automation, and demonstrated comfort adopting emerging AI tools and technologies.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise sales teams to support pipeline development and revenue growth.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, staff priorities, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience working within an Information Technology (IT) or technology-focused organization.
  • Relevant marketing certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Continuing education or professional development in marketing, digital marketing, communications, leadership, or related disciplines is a plus.
