Nelbud is hiring an experienced Commercial Kitchen Ventilation (KVAC) Service & Repair Technician!

We're looking for a skilled, mechanically inclined technician with hands-on experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial kitchen ventilation and exhaust systems.

Unlike routine cleaning or preventative maintenance positions, this role focuses primarily on technical troubleshooting, equipment diagnostics, and repairs. We're seeking someone who can identify problems, determine solutions, and perform repairs with minimal supervision.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with commercial kitchen ventilation and exhaust systems.

• Inspect, service, and repair commercial exhaust fans, motors, belts, bearings, and related components.

• Identify and resolve equipment failures, airflow issues, and ventilation performance problems.

• Perform mechanical repairs and replace worn or damaged components.

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within the scope of the position and applicable qualifications.

• Evaluate equipment conditions and recommend necessary repairs.

• Perform preventative maintenance as needed, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and corrective repairs.

• Document service findings, repairs, and recommendations.

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues and completed work.

• Follow company safety procedures while working on rooftops, ladders, and commercial equipment.

• Previous hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial ventilation, exhaust, or related mechanical systems.

• Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience repairing commercial exhaust fans, motors, belts, bearings, or similar equipment.

• Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and complete repairs.

• Knowledge of commercial kitchen ventilation systems or related commercial mechanical equipment.

• Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, and in confined spaces.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
