Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) — Permanent | McKinney, TX
A well-established dental practice in McKinney, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join their team full-time. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity with a practice that invests in its people — offering medical benefits, PTO, bonus potential, and more. Position Summary
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive preventive and periodontal care in a patient-focused, well-supported practice. Working alongside the dentist and clinical team, you'll deliver high-quality hygiene care, build lasting patient relationships, and help maintain the practice's standard of clinical excellence. This role is ideal for a seasoned hygienist with 3–5 years of experience looking for a stable, rewarding home with strong benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance procedures
  • Take and review radiographs (digital and traditional) consistent with Texas scope-of-practice requirements
  • Conduct oral cancer screenings, periodontal charting, and intraoral assessments
  • Apply preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants as directed by the dentist
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and periodontal health
  • Document care accurately in the practice management system (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
  • Collaborate with the dentist and team to support treatment planning and patient flow
  • Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC infection-control compliance at all times

Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist license issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
  • Current CPR / BLS certification
  • Radiography certification valid in Texas
  • 3–5 years of clinical hygiene experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative team mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with multiple practice-management systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
  • Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring certification (where applicable)
  • Familiarity with periodontal-focused or high-volume general practices
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
