This is a remote inside sales role supporting enterprise customers and partnering closely with Account Executives to drive revenue and profitability.
You’ll act as a strategic sales lead, coordinating internal teams, technology partners, and customers to deliver responsive, high-value IT solutions.
The role combines account management, consultative selling, opportunity development, pricing strategy, and customer success.
You’ll identify whitespace opportunities, expand existing accounts, and develop new lines of business across hardware, software, cloud, and IT infrastructure.
Success requires strong commercial judgment, technical curiosity, disciplined pipeline management, and exceptional customer responsiveness.
You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with manufacturers, distribution partners, sales teams, and operational specialists.
The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise technology decisions while building long-term customer and partner relationships.
- Lead and coordinate inside sales activities for one or more Enterprise Account Executives, mentoring and delegating tasks across the client operations team while maintaining strong customer service standards.
- Manage and grow existing enterprise accounts by identifying new opportunities, expanding product and service adoption, and achieving assigned revenue and gross-profit objectives.
- Develop expertise across key IT product categories, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, servers, networking, storage, peripherals, printers, displays, accessories, software, and related solutions.
- Own larger proposals and opportunities, including those exceeding $25,000, ensuring accurate pricing, project coordination, OEM deal registrations, Salesforce tracking, follow-up, and successful progression through the sales cycle.
- Maintain proactive account activity in Salesforce, ensuring qualified opportunities, customer interactions, next steps, and strategic initiatives are accurately documented and advanced.
- Partner with Account Executives to establish pricing strategies that balance competitive customer offers with margin objectives, using sourcing initiatives, contractual considerations, partner programs, and deal registration opportunities.
- Identify and pursue cross-sell, up-sell, and whitespace opportunities through spend analysis, standards reviews, account planning, prospecting, and regular engagement with internal and external technology resources.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with enterprise customers, OEM representatives, distribution partners, business development teams, specialists, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage customer proposals, quotes, renewals, and complex orders while ensuring accurate and timely execution; maintain a four-hour response target for customer requests and proactively manage software renewals at least 30 days before expiration.
- Provide customer demonstrations and self-service training for the digital marketplace platform, including sourcing, quoting, ordering, product search, reporting, licensing, renewals, process improvement, and RMA capabilities.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, account performance, budgets, opportunities, and operational issues while escalating complex matters and coordinating with sales support teams as needed.
- Prepare and present customer activity reports and maintain accurate account standards, catalogues, and related sales documentation.
- Support promotional campaigns and quarterly sales initiatives while maintaining consistent prospecting and engagement activity with OEM and internal business development contacts.
- Coach and support junior team members, contribute to continuous improvement, and perform additional responsibilities as required.
- Ensure applicable departmental processes are followed, including relevant financial and compliance controls.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience, with approximately 5 years of relevant work experience and around 7 years preferred for full proficiency.
- Required: demonstrated experience working with healthcare accounts, ideally within enterprise technology sales or IT solutions environments.
- At least 3 years of successful experience selling and supporting IT software, hardware, solutions, or related services directly to large enterprise customers.
- Previous reseller, value-added reseller (VAR), Tier 1 manufacturer, publisher, or comparable enterprise technology sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Working understanding of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage, together with knowledge of major technology OEM product lines and current market offerings.
- Strong understanding of software solutions and familiarity with major strategic software publishers, technologies, programs, and sales processes is preferred.
- Experience managing complex sales opportunities, conducting discovery, developing proposals, presenting solution options, and owning client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with mid-level and senior-level stakeholders and deliver effective product or platform demonstrations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, customer requests, sales opportunities, and concurrent activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic and resourceful approach to selling, with the ability to identify opportunities, leverage internal and external resources, and maximize account potential.
- Highly customer-focused, detail-oriented, responsive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary to support assigned customer time zones.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo, or ServiceNow sales certifications.
- Occasional travel may be required, generally fewer than six trips per year.
- Competitive base salary plus commission, with an indicated annual compensation range of $45,000–$95,000 USD; actual earnings may vary based on performance and other factors.
