This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Proposal Specialist based in India.
This role plays a key part in driving competitive, high-quality tender submissions for complex energy and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing the full proposal lifecycle, from opportunity review and bid strategy through to final submission and post-tender support. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, commercial, legal, and project teams to ensure accurate, compelling, and compliant proposals. You will help shape winning bids that highlight technical capability, cost competitiveness, and overall value proposition. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring strong coordination and attention to detail. You will also engage with clients and stakeholders, contributing directly to business growth and project success in the power systems sector.
• Manage the full tender lifecycle including opportunity review, bid/no-bid assessment, kickoff, preparation, and submission
• Develop competitive and compelling proposals in collaboration with engineering, technical, and commercial teams
• Prepare detailed cost models, RFQ responses, and commercial evaluations including warranty, tax, and insurance considerations
• Conduct risk assessments and define mitigation strategies for bid submissions
• Coordinate with legal and commercial teams during contract review and negotiation phases
• Perform market and competitor analysis to strengthen bid positioning and strategy
• Ensure compliance with internal governance, quality standards, and tendering processes
• Support post-tender clarifications and client engagement activities
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in tendering, bid management, or proposal development within power systems or EPC environments
• Strong understanding of AIS/GIS substation equipment and electrical infrastructure projects
• Experience working with RFQs, cost modeling, and commercial proposal preparation
• Familiarity with data center, offshore wind, solar, railway electrification, or similar infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and contractual frameworks
