This role is part of a globally distributed engineering organization focused on building scalable, high-performance backend systems for complex digital products.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot.
The position involves working in a fully remote, collaborative environment with cross-functional agile teams across multiple regions.
You will contribute to system architecture decisions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability of core services.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with system architecture and product goals.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement optimization strategies for scalability and efficiency.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and frontend engineers within agile teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote best practices for clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Build and maintain automated tests in collaboration with QA teams to ensure software quality and stability.
- Contribute to technical documentation, system design diagrams, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of backend development experience, including at least 3+ years working with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design, scalable system architecture, and software design principles.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git and agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams across multiple time zones.
