Global Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Product Manager based in the United States United States.

This role is a high-impact global product leadership position within the orthopedic surgical space, focused on driving innovation and growth across upper extremity implant portfolios. You will shape product strategy across the full lifecycle, from upstream concept development to commercialization and post-launch optimization. The position plays a critical role in defining how next-generation shoulder and elbow arthroplasty solutions are positioned, launched, and scaled globally. You will work closely with engineering, clinical experts, sales, and downstream marketing teams to translate surgeon and customer needs into differentiated medical technologies. The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including market research, product launches, and KOL engagement. It is highly cross-functional and deeply embedded in clinical and commercial environments. This is a visible global role with direct impact on patient outcomes and surgical innovation.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead global product strategy and lifecycle management for upper extremity orthopedic implant portfolios, including shoulder and elbow solutions.
  • Drive upstream product development activities, ensuring alignment between market needs, clinical requirements, and innovation priorities.
  • Manage end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) processes, including launch planning, messaging, collateral development, and commercialization support.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, define positioning, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, business cases, and long-term portfolio strategies aligned with growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, regulatory, clinical, sales, and marketing to ensure successful product execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and clinical stakeholders to inform product development.
  • Support sales enablement and surgeon education initiatives, including training, presentations, and clinical engagement activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of product marketing or upstream product management experience, ideally within medical devices or orthopedics.
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic surgical markets, implant technologies, or related medical device environments.
  • Proven experience leading product development, launches, and lifecycle management in a regulated industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in market research, competitive analysis, and business case development.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across clinical, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable engaging with surgeons, KOLs, and operating room environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and strong data interpretation skills.
