Position Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager supports the Hill CEDC IT Operations & Maintenance contract at Hill AFB by leading the Capacity Planning project. This role manages project scope, schedules, resources, and deliverables while directing the project team. The Senior IT Project Manager oversees planning, coordination, and execution activities supporting the ITIL Capacity Management process, quarterly reporting, and development of the Hill CEDC Capacity Plan across 2,000+ servers, 250+ applications, and multiple enclaves, ensuring alignment with mission needs, performance requirements, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
Lead execution of the ITIL Capacity Management process, including forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis.Direct and coordinate the work of the Capacity Planning team.Develop project scope, schedules, staffing plans, communication plans, and work assignments.Oversee development of the Hill CEDC Capacity Plan and quarterly capacity reports.Ensure capacity planning activities support hosting sustainment, modernization, onboarding,and productionoperational support.Track project performance, risks, dependencies, and schedule adherence.Provide project updates, milestone reporting, and inputs for the Monthly Status Report.Support CPM responsibilities andparticipatein required Government meetings.Clearly and effectively communicate withCPM,SMEs, teams, functional leads, and Government stakeholders.Ensure capacity documentation, models, and reports areaccurate, complete, andaudit‑ready.Oversee or mentor less senior capacity planning staff asrequired.Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professionalexperience.5+ years of experience in IT project management or technical project coordination.Experience leading IT infrastructure, modernization, or data center projects.Experience managingcross‑functionaltechnical teams in enterprise IT environments.Understanding ofAgile project management methodologies.Advanced computer skills and understanding of operating systems, network administration, and service desk operations.Ability to interpret technical instructions and documentation related to IT systems and infrastructure.Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.Active Secret clearance.U.S. citizenshiprequired.Required Certifications (only one required)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum AllianceProfessional Scrum Master (PSM) – Scrum.orgPreferred Qualifications
Experience with ITIL Capacity Management or enterprise forecasting.ITIL Foundation or ITIL Managing Professional certification.Experience supporting DoD data center operations or federal IT programs.Working Conditions / Environment / Physical Demands
Position is performed on site at Hill AFB, Utah, in a secure professional environment.Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.Core duty hours: Monday–Friday, 0600–1800 MST.Work involves extensive computer and secure network use, including prolonged periods of sitting and screen time.Requires independent work with minimal supervision, as well as collaboration withcross‑functionalteams, subcontractors, and Government stakeholders.Occasional travel may berequiredfor customer meetings, training, or program reviews.Disclaimer
