Job Description
Core4ce is seeking an IT Support Specialist, who can function in a highly collaborative, multi-contractor environment. This role involves providing advanced onsite technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and offering guidance to junior support staff. IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, resolving escalated technical problems, and implementing IT security measures.
Responsibilities
· Provide advanced technical support to end-users, addressing complex hardware and software issues.
· Troubleshoot and resolve escalated IT problems in a timely manner.
· Manage assigned Active Directory groups, and user accounts.
· Offer guidance and mentoring to junior support staff in resolving technical issues.
· Maintain and oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and workstations.
· Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and updates.
· Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime.
· Assist in the implementation of IT security measures, including firewall configuration, antivirus software, and user access controls.
· Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
· Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures.
· Provide training to end-users on the proper use of hardware and software systems.
· Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures.
· Create user-friendly guides for common technical issues.
· Collaborate with IT management in evaluating and recommending new hardware and software solutions.
· Lead or participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
· Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and track their lifecycles.
· Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements
· 7-10 years of experience in IT support, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
· Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software, including operating systems, networking, and security.
· Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Active Secret Clearance or have the eligibility to be granted a clearance.
· CompTIA Security + Certification (Current with CE)
Preferred
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Professional certifications such as ITIL v4, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP, are advantageous.
· Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft TEAMS
· Experience or familiarity with working with the Federal Government
· Familiarization with Military Medical Network Infrastructure
