Steel Shop Machinery Manager in Lynchburg, Virginia at Banker Steel Company LLC

Knowledge and Experience:

• 5-7 years minimum supervisory experience in warehouse/parts environment

• Previous Experience with MRP software

• 3-5 years experience minimum programming, troubleshooting, and supervising CNC machines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure CNC machines are being utilized and operating at optimal efficiency.

• Mark off nests in EPM.

• Verify programs against drawings.

• Ensure quality of parts being cut and shipped.

• Manage logistics of inbound and outbound detail transfers.

• Manage the detail cutting schedule.

• Ensure safety operations and practices at all times.

• Coach, mentor, develop and train team members.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls will be required.
• Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required.
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
