Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

General responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Preparation: Analyzing transactions, preparing journal entries, and compiling financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Account Reconciliation: Performing regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Month-End Close Process: Leading the month-end close process, including preparing adjusting entries and ensuring timely completion of financial reporting.
• Variance Analysis: Analyzing variances between budgeted and actual financial results and providing explanations to management.
• Internal Controls: Maintaining and improving internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Audit Support: Assisting external auditors with audit procedures and providing necessary documentation.
• Financial Analysis: Performing financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Training and mentoring junior accounting staff.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and regulations.
• System Management: Maintaining and improving accounting software systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned under the direction of the accounting manager

Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail: Necessary for accurate record keeping and data entry.
• Analytical skills: To interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Proficiency in accounting software: Familiarity with programs like MS Office, Outlook, QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP (SAP FICO experience is preferred).
• Excellent communication skills: To collaborate with colleagues and support upper management.
• Organizational skills: To manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Mathematics skills: To perform calculations accurately.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar business related field or experience
• 4~5 yrs accounting experience preferred
• Bilingual (English and Korean) is preferred
