About This Position

LGM Pharma is a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and provider of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). We are looking for Staff Accountant to perform general ledger month-end closing, assist with AP and AR, and financial reporting for multiple entities. The Staff Accountant will reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and will ensure all journal entries are entered and reviewed to meet the month-end closing deadlines.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for the month-end closing process; this includes maintaining the general ledger for multiple entities; preparation of monthly standard and non-standard journal entries
  • Ensure month-end journal entries are reviewed and entered within a timely manner
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed within a timely manner
  • Prepare variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly cash flow forecast
  • Provide backup for accounts receivable
  • Reconcile cash weekly
  • Respond to inquiries by researching and interpreting accounting data
  • Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents
  • Create and maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentation of accounting processes
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully the Staff Accountant must have advanced knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office, strong emphasis on Excel

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Solid foundational knowledge of GAAP

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience maintaining general ledger and financial reporting;
  • Ability to interpret and analyze accounting data;
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment; manage multiple assignments projects and tasks concurrently;
  • Must be driven and team focused with a strong ability to take initiative to accomplish goals;
  • Detail oriented individual, team player who enjoys helping people;
  • “Roll up your sleeves” type personality- high level of ownership and accountability is a must!;
  • Enjoy challenges and take pride in being capable of driving positive change within an organization; and
  • Solid communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
