Journeyman Electrician - (Commercial Electrical) in Holly, Michigan at State Electric Company Inc

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman to join our commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in, commercial, and industrial settings. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure all work meets safety standards, electrical codes, project requirements and our customers vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, panels, and lighting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Bend and install conduit, pull wire, and perform terminations.
• Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices, providing guidance and hands-on training.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Ability to run a project effectively, giving direction to multiple team members, ensuring the project has the best outcome possible.
• Operate machinery as needed (skid steer, excavator, etc.).

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations.
• Experience with comprehending scopes of work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Experience with residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Experience installing or working with EV (Electric Vehicle) Chargers is a bonus but not required.
• Some travel/out of town work required as needed.
• Primary project locations will be in Southeast MI.
