Range: $1200 - 1700/weekly, DOE

Through CJ ENM America, the company engages in a diverse range of businesses across the entertainment sector including K-drama, media, music, film, performing arts, animation, influencer marketing and conventions.
CJ ENM also operates KCON, the largest Korean pop culture fan convention and concert series. What began as a one-day event in Los Angeles in 2012 has rapidly grown over the past several years, expanding globally to major cities like New York, Japan, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Paris.
CJ ENM has played a pivotal role in shaping a global phenomenon, bringing inspiration and joy to audiences worldwide while cultivating a culture that can be universally enjoyed and consumed.
Position Overview: CJ ENM America is seeking a freelancer to collaborate on its planning and execution of KCON LA 2025. This is a contracted, non-employee role ideal for an independent professional with prior experience in event operations, production logistics and live entertainment. The freelancer will work independently and be responsible for delivering defined scopes of work aligned with their expertise.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide supplemental support throughout the event lifecycle (planning through post-production).
Execute operational strategies in alignment with approved operation plans onsite.
Update and refine event-specific materials (e.g., staffing manuals, information desk procedures).
Communicate with venue and security vendors to ensure compliance and coordination within assigned scopes.
Facilitate cross-department communications during defined project phases.
Create and manage event-related documentation such as budget breakdowns, staffing logistics, and presentations.
Provide leadership and guidance to the event support team onsite as needed for event execution.
Assist with production needs and contribute strategic insight and support.
Requirements:
Minimum 6-8 years demonstrated experience in live event production or operations
Bilingual: English and Korean (written and verbal)
Demonstrated experience managing a variety of large-scale events, experiential, theatrical, or other live entertainment productions (ex: conventions, festivals, screenings, premieres, panel discussions, concerts, parties, etc).
Familiarity with permitting regulations (e.g., Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety)
Should have corporate experience or knowledge of corporate structure
Strong communication and leadership skills; experience directing freelance staff or vendors
Prior experience working with agencies or production firms is preferred
Team management experience with demonstrated ability for successfully managing high-profile and large-scale events
Proficiency in tools such as: MS-Office, Google Suite, Asana, Slack, Kakao, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.
