Automation Gripper Technician at Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc. – Sanford, North Carolina

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work closely with robotics engineers to integrate gripper systems seamlessly with robotic platforms.
• Ensure compatibility and optimal performance of grippers within the broader automation framework.
• Provide technical support for deployed gripper systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary repairs or modifications.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure long-term reliability and functionality of gripper systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of gripper designs, testing procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
• Create user manuals and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and adhere to quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality grippers.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Clean, configure, and repair gripper modules to meet production demands.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years' experience preferred
• Manual machining experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
