About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of Physician, Advanced Nurse or Physician Assistant. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, accessing Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients/clients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications or treatments as directed by the Medical Provider. The Behavioral Health LPN may also participate in activities such as individual and group therapy, day treatment services, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, supported living services, community living services, and education.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a LPN degree or certificate program
  • Current LPN licensure in State of AK
  • Two years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing knowledge and skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License

PREFERRED:

  • Prefer experience in addiction, mental health and behavioral health.
