DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor shall be responsible for coordinating and supervising all distribution activities in a manner that is consistent with company service and cost objectives.
We are looking for someone who can work independently with little supervision while maintaining excellent communication skills with all associates and is an excellent team player.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, assign and supervise daily work activities in the warehouse.
- Ascertains that product is picked, checked and shipped according to established best practice standards and in accordance with current procedures and safety measures.
- Maintain productivity and quality levels.
- Create/Maintain an environment where employees are motivated to take ownership of responsibilities to increase productivity.
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to warehouse personnel.
- Conducts daily communication meetings with crew members.
- Support and promote the company’s values, maintain a safe working environment. Ensure continued compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety.
- Maintain effective employee orientation, training for warehouse personnel.
- Develops and fosters strong, effective functional and cross functional teams.
- Ensures employees have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobs.
- Understand our KPI Goals and achieve positive KPI results.
- Participates in operations development and problem-solving meetings as requested.
- Maintains confidentiality in all areas.
- Supports and enforces recommendations from management.
- Must be able to communicate respectfully and effectively with all levels of employees.
- Ability to assist in fostering and driving a team-based environment.
- Performs tasks involving inventory checks, inspection, sorting and disposition of damage goods ensuring proper inventory management.
- Must maintain a clean and organized work area.
- May perform work of crew members as needed.
- Participate in annual physical inventory process.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Pervious warehouse experience 3-5 years.
- Supervisory Experience 1- 2 years
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Flexible working hours (if required) to help or transfer to other shifts.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must have a high record of quality when performing activities.
- Detail oriented, efficient, and well organized
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
