About This Position
We are currently looking for a Production Associate (QA Auditor) to join our Burlington team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will work with the Quality Assurance department to examine products and materials to ensure that customer specifications and company standards are met. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!
This position operates on a weekly rotation of day (7am-3pm) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shift basis and is eligible for shift premium.
Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications.Maintain a constant visual on parts produced by performing visual audits using defined company tolerances and identified customer specifications.Verify labels and colours match work orders.Operate custom audio software to identify audio defects.
- Load stampers onto audio softwareCompare and contrast audio quality of stampers to masters providedVerify or adjust defects based on results identified from software and listening experienceSave and communicate results of test press to Production staffFlag and inspect defects immediately as they are identifiedUse precision tools to identify issues within grooves of stamperDocument first offs and stamper changes into software database
Physical Demands
- Required to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift)Involves repetitive motions; Use of hands and wrist continuously in a controlled environment.Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions. Adaptable to relative sound pressure levelsGood eyesight and hearing required; must be able to visually and audibly detect defects.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 1 year of quality inspection, auditing and testing experience requiredUse of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory. Must be willing to work all shifts & to work overtime as business needs require.Must be able to meet physical demands of the job.Excellent electronic, verbal, and written communication skillsMust have strong attention to detail.Ability to execute good judgement and decision making for the purpose of process improvement.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities in a team environment.Ability to use precision tools specific to the job (measuring tools, microscope, audio software)Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel (reading and entering data on spreadsheets) required.
