Material Handler in Washington Boro, Pennsylvania at Slaymaker Electric and Motor Supply Co

As a Material Handler, you’ll play an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll work with our Inventory & Purchasing team to receive materials, organize inventory, stage materials for technicians and projects, and keep our warehouse and storage areas clean and efficient.

• Receive and unload incoming materials and deliveries
• Verify materials against packing slips and receiving documents
• Organize, label, and put away inventory
• Pull and stage materials for technicians, service calls, and projects
• Handle electrical supplies, motors, pumps, wire, conduit, fittings, and other materials
• Load and unload technician vehicles and deliveries
• Return unused materials to the correct inventory locations
• Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate material locations
• Keep warehouse, receiving, staging, and storage areas clean and organized
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Communicate damaged, missing, incorrect, or low-stock materials
• Help wherever needed to keep materials and jobs moving efficiently

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to learn our inventory processes and computer systems
• Previous warehouse, material handling, construction, electrical supply, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
