Follow all FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations.May spot, stage, dock, and move trailers within yard areas and dock doorsTransfer goods and materials between plant locationsSupport shipping and receiving operations by ensuring trailers are available as needed

Verify trailer numbers, seal condition, and trailer door status prior to movementConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment, trailers and vehicles

Maintain accurate records of transfers and any incidents or accidentsCommunicate effectively with Fleet Supervisor, Warehouse, and team membersFollow company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation regulationsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Class A CDL License with minimum of 3 year of verifiable Class A experienceAt least previous 12 months of satisfactory driving history -RequiredCurrently hold, or ability to obtain DOT medical card - RequiredKnowledge of DOT compliance regulationsSelf-motivated, responsible, and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently, good communication, and organization skillsBilingual skills preferred, not required (English, Spanish)Forklift Experience PreferredPast job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal demeanor, excellent listener, and the ability to exercise good judgement

Working conditions

Must be able to work any and all shifts as directed.Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including holidays and weekends.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures.

Physical requirements

Must wear non-slip, safety-resistant work shoes.Participation in mandatory pre-shift stretches and exercises.Proper use of required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets (if needed), and safety gloves.Must wear all required PPE when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection.Physical ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walk around the facility, lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.Must possess the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates and others using professional etiquette.
