Senior Account Executive - Healthcare Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive – Healthcare Marketing based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of client services, project management, and healthcare marketing strategy within a fast-paced agency environment focused on pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. You will act as a key account leader, ensuring seamless execution of marketing programs that support payer communications and healthcare access initiatives. The position requires strong coordination skills, client-facing confidence, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including creative, medical, regulatory, and project management groups. This is a highly dynamic role where attention to detail, organization, and communication directly impact client success. The environment is collaborative, growth-oriented, and mission-driven within the healthcare communications space.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, managing day-to-day communications and project status updates
  • Coordinate and support the development of healthcare marketing and communications programs across cross-functional teams
  • Manage project timelines, scope, budgets, and deliverables while proactively identifying risks or roadblocks
  • Facilitate client meetings, prepare status reports, and ensure clear next-step alignment across stakeholders
  • Support new business initiatives, pitch preparation, and proposal development for account growth opportunities
  • Oversee the medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) review process to ensure compliance of promotional materials
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure efficient execution and delivery of campaigns
  • Assist with financial tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation of project budgets and labor costs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare agency account management or project management
  • Experience working directly with clients in a healthcare, pharma, or medical communications environment
  • Strong understanding of agency workflows, including MLR processes and regulatory review (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong client-facing ability
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project coordination tools
  • Experience supporting SOWs, project briefs, and healthcare campaign execution (preferred)
