Position Summary
The Safety Manager will report to the Safety Director, and help lead the development and implementation of safety programs tailored to our communications operations in KY, OH, IN, IL & MI. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other relevant standards our customers require while promoting a proactive safety culture across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures specific to communication operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on both in-house employees as well as subcontractors.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate safety into operational planning.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field and/or minimum 5 years of safety management experience in communication operations or a related industry (Tower experience preferred but not required).
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and Tower safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Safety Professional Certification preferred.
