Pay: Starting at $32/hour (based on experience)
Work Area: Candidates should live within commuting distance of Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC

We are looking for a Field Supervisor to oversee the installation of custom metal systems such as staircases, railings, and other fabricated components. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, and ensuring installations meet quality and safety standards on active job sites.
This position serves as the main point of contact in the field and works closely with project teams, contractors, and installation personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Supervise daily field operations for installation of stairs, railings, and fabricated metal items
- Lead crews by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring quality workmanship
- Coordinate activities with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on site
- Review project drawings and specifications to guide layout and installation
- Plan labor, tools, materials, and equipment needs to support project timelines
- Ensure all crew members meet site requirements, certifications, and safety expectations
- Complete and maintain daily reports, including job progress, equipment checks, and vehicle inspections
- Monitor company tools, vehicles, and equipment for proper use and maintenance
- Promote a safe work environment through site inspections and safety compliance
- Lead and document safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Act as the primary contact in the field for resolving installation-related issues
- At least 5 years of experience in structural, miscellaneous, or architectural metals
- Previous experience in a supervisory, foreman, or crew leadership role preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Strong math skills for measurements, layouts, and angles
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
- Experience with welding processes including:
- SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
- FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
- GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
- GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
- Current welding certifications or ability to pass a weld test
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
