Charge RN - Interventional Radiology

Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Magnet-designated regional referral center has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930 .

Work hours: Full Time 40 hours per week, (4) 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday, with call-requirements, occasional weekends for call coverage.

• Busy with 19-Bays and 5 Interventional Radiology suites

• Outpatient Interventional Radiology & CT Pre-Op and Recovery and Inpatient Anesthesia Recovery

Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma

• BSN preferred

• One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.

• 2-years' experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

• Two (2) years of ED, ICU RN experience strongly preferred

• Experience with Interventional Radiology RN experience preferred

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 Days Required

• NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 6 Months Required

• Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient

• Plans the care of the patient

• Intervenes as appropriate

• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
